ISLAMABAD – A high-level delegation from global telecom giant Ericsson, led by Patrick Johansson, Head of Europe, Africa and the Middle East, paid a visit to Pakistan and held meetings with the country’s top leadership.
The delegation met Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja.
During the meetings, both sides held detailed discussions on strengthening cooperation in the telecommunications and digital technology sectors.
The Pakistani leadership welcomed Ericsson’s continued interest in Pakistan and highlighted the government’s commitment to expanding digital connectivity, modernising telecom infrastructure, and promoting investment in the IT and technology sectors.
The Ericsson delegation appreciated Pakistan’s market potential and discussed future collaboration, innovation, and opportunities to support the country’s digital transformation agenda.
