DUBAI – It is mandatory Pakistan nationals residing in the United Arab Emirates to obtain the Emirates ID card from the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security-ICP.
The holder of the Emirates ID card can avail various government services while you can face trouble without it.
Earlier this week, the UAE’s authority has further made the process for issuance of the Emirates ID card hassle free as it has eliminated various fields to just one step. Six mandatory fields have been removed for the process regarding ID card.
With the updated system, all fields are automatically filled when the customer’s last registered address is entered.
Now, the customers are no longer required to provide photo for passport services while those applying for Emirates ID. The system retrieves the data and photos of the customers automatically while there is an option to change the photo.
The authority has also launched various channels for online payment such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, reducing the payment entry fields.
The facility is also available to all other residents in the UAE.
