Eight suspects held, 3 bikes without documents taken into custody


The Islamabad Police held eight suspects and took three motorcycles lacking documents into custody during massive search and combing operation conducted in jurisdiction of Secretariat police station on Sunday, said a police spokesman.

According to details, on the direction of IG Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas, a search operation was conducted in areas of Secretariat police station participated by heavy contingent of police force under the supervision of SP City Zone Kamran Amir Khan.

During the search operation, 08 suspects were detained and shifted to police station for verification. During the search operation, 179 houses and 270 persons were searched and three motorbikes without documents were shifted to police station.

IG Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas said that the search operation was aimed to tighten the noose around the criminals. Search operations are being carried out against criminal elements in different areas of the city adding that the security in the federal capital is enhanced.
