Eidul Azha to fall on July 20 in Saudi Arabia as Zilhaj moon not sighted


The Zilhaj moon has not been sighted in Saudi Arabia means the last month of the Islamic calendar will begin from July 11 while Arfat Day, the key part of Hajj, will be observed on July 19.

Eid ul Azha will be celebrated in Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries on July 20. The announcement was made by the supreme court of the Kingdom.

In Pakistan, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will hold a meeting to sight the Zilhaj moon on Saturday.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that eid in Pakistan is likely to fall on July 21.
