Lahore- Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) Central Secretary Dr. FirdousAshiqAwan commented on the announcement of the Election Commission of Pakistan, asserting that the Election Commission set the stage for a political showdown in the country.

Dr. Firdous emphasized that the IPP embarked on a journey of honoring the voters with the initiation of the electoral process. She highlighted that the IPP was the only party that advocated for giving respect to the voters. According to her, when respect was accorded to the voter, it dignified both the vote and the candidate. She noted that the recent announcement of the election dispelled the uncertainties that lingered until the end of January. She expressed satisfaction that the responsible setup was diligently preparing for its true responsibilities, with the ultimate mandate of ensuring the timely conduct of the elections.

Awan stated that her party would participate in its first electoral campaign with enthusiasm. She affirmed that the IPP would display its full potential on the electoral battleground, and would emerge as a formidable force in the electoral arena. She emphasized that the upcoming elections would be a crucial step toward restoring democracy and stability in the country. She also observed that the announcement of the election marked the beginning of political alignments. Dr. FirdousAshiqAwan noted that political defaulters were using the lower-level playing field as an excuse, but for those genuinely committed to serving the people, the playing field was not an issue.
