DCM Zhao Lijian pays farewell visit to Pakistan Observer

The outgoing Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM), Embassy of China Mr Zhao Lijian on Thursday visited offices of the Pakistan Observer and paid farewell call on the newspaper’s Executive Editor Gauhar Zahid Malik and Group Managing Editor Omar Zahid Malik.
Press & Media Officer of the Embassy of China, Yang Ming was also accompanying Mr Zhao during his visit.
In the meeting the visiting dignitary who is leaving Pakistan after completing his diplomatic career in Pakistan, termed his days in Pakistan quite productive, memorable and useful.
Pakistani Media, he said particularly played a very positive role in promoting and enhancing the already strong ties between China and Pakistan. DCM Zhao particularly mentioned Pakistan Observer and its team for promoting Pakistan-China relations and highlighting various projects under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Pakistan Observer’s Executive Editor Gauhar Malik and Group Managing Editor Omar Malik thanked the DCM for his efforts to get CPEC projects completed on time and for clarifying various aspects of the projects on social media as well as during conferences and seminars.
DCM Zhao Lijian effectively used social media and countered negative propaganda against the Pak-China relations in general and the CPEC in particular.
Pakistan owes to your efforts, Excellency Zhao for projecting its good image as investor-friendly country, they said.
