Cricket Legend Javed Miandad Recovers After Heart Scare Praises Nicvd Care

KARACHI – Pakistan’s legendary cricketer and former Test captain Javed Miandad was admitted to a hospital in Karachi after experiencing chest discomfort on Wednesday.

Javed Miandad was taken to the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) for medical examination.

After undergoing necessary tests and an angiography, the doctors declared him healthy and allowed him to return home.

Speaking before leaving the hospital, Miandad expressed gratitude and said, “I am feeling much better. With Allah’s blessings and the prayers of the nation, my health will continue to improve.” He also praised the facilities and care provided at NICVD.

Earlier, Javed Miandad shared his views on cricket administration in Pakistan. During a media interaction in Karachi, he said, “In Pakistan, the government in power often places its own people in the Pakistan Cricket Board. This does not happen anywhere else in the world. Efforts must be made to genuinely promote cricket in the country.”

He added that whoever becomes Prime Minister should work sincerely for the development of both the country and cricket. Responding to a question, Miandad said that if given the opportunity, he could resolve the issues in Pakistan cricket.

The former captain also spoke about the Sindh Premier League (SPL), saying it would serve as a platform to nurture local talent. “The SPL will benefit cricketers from Sindh and help promote regional talent,” he said.
