Completion of ongoing schemes vital to fulfill public service agenda: Shafqat

Minister for Federal Education, Shafqat Mehmood stressing the need of early completion of all ongoing schemes has said that agenda of public service can’t be fulfilled without the development of social sector.

This was stated by him during his meeting Punjab Minister for Social Welfare Yawar Abbas Bhukari at his office in Lahore on Tuesday who apprised the federal minister about the welfare-oriented initiatives of his department

Shafqat Mehmood said that welfare of the common was priority agenda of the federal government for which it was utilizing all resources.

On the occasion, Yawar Bhukari presented proposals for improving educational standards and added that the network of shelter homes has helped the needy segments to stay outside without being burdened.

The hamqadam programme would prove an important drive to benefit the differently-abled persons as the social welfare department was also striving hard to rehabilitate them, he added.

Yawar Bukhari also met with PTI General Secretary Gulberg Town Rana Muhammad Shehryar and Shenaila Ali who requested for repair and maintenance of medical facilities under the social welfare department in NA-130.
