Cold, dry weather predicted

Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during next 24 hours, however light rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds (snowfall over the hills) is expected at few places. According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) light rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is expected in Quetta, Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi divisions, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, FATA and Kashmir.
Foggy conditions are likely over few plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning hours. Weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country during last 24 hours.
The lowest Minimum temperature was recorded in Skardu -08°C, Gilgit, Astore, Gupis -05°C, Kalam -04°C A shallow westerly wave is likely to affect FATA and northern parts of the country tonight and may persist during next 36 hours.
The Karachi Met Office on Saturday forecast dry weather with cool night and misty morning for Karachi during the next 24 hours. A Met Office official said that the minimum temperature in the metropolis is expected to remain between 13 degrees Centigrade to 15 degrees Centigrade during the period.—APP
