The Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Lahore Mr. Zhao Shiren gave away the “Friendship Award” of Consulate General of China to Editor-in-Chief of daily Pakistan Observer, Mr Faisal Zahid Malik.
The award ceremony, held at Gymkhana Club in Lahore, was attended by former Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Khursheed Mehmud Kasuri, Chairman Gymkhana Club, Mian Misbah ur Rehman, senior staff members of Chinese Consulate, journalists from Pakistan and people’s from different walks of life.
The Chinese Consul General also appreciated the services of daily Pakistan Observer in propagating Pakistan-China relations in an examplary way. Mr. Shiren paid rich tributes to late Mr. Zahid Malik, the founder of Pakistan Observer, for setting best precedents in journalism.
