ISLAMABAD – Another opportunity for Pakistani students and professionals as UK rolled out applications for prestigious Chevening Scholarships and fellowship programs, offering talented individuals a chance to study, connect with international experts, and build careers on a global platform.
For several international scholarship and fellowship programs, this brings new opportunities for Pakistani students, researchers, and entrepreneurs to get education, research, and professional development.
The programs include Chevening Scholarships, Chevening Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS) Fellowship, and the Commonwealth Startup Fellowship. Marriott also cautioned candidates that applications containing AI-generated responses could be rejected or result in disqualification.
Chevening Scholarship 2026
Pakistani candidates applying for the Chevening Scholarship must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be citizens of a country eligible for the Chevening program, including Pakistan.
- Candidates must have a minimum of two years of work experience, equal to approximately 2,800 hours.
- Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies them for admission to a postgraduate program at a UK university.
- Successful candidates must commit to returning to their home country for at least two years after completing their scholarship.
Candidates are utged to carefully prepare their applications, particularly their personal essays. Applicants should clearly demonstrate their leadership potential, ability to build professional relationships, academic interests, and future career plans.
Officials stressed that strong applications should include specific examples from an applicant’s own academic, professional, or personal journey. Candidates are encouraged to present genuine experiences and explain how the scholarship will help them achieve their long-term objectives.
