Pakistan People’s Party Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that our young generation is demanding equal participation in the decision making of the country. Addressing the convocation of Safa University, the PPP Chairman said that the young generation of Pakistan, whose outlook is shaped by global trends, is inspired by the revolutionary developments, demanding a government that speaks directly and sincerely to its citizens.
He said that this generation of ours requires merit, efficiency and transparency and is ready to face the world.Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the nation is facing numerous challenges, including uncontrolled inflation, deepening economic crisis, increasing income inequality, polarization and division in society. “We can be intimidated by these challenges or we can be inspired to overcome them,” he said.
Pakistan’s youngest ever foreign minister warned the country’s youth that trying to sow seeds of hatred among us is the most dangerous act. Toxic polarization, incitement to violence, misogyny are designed to distract us from the real work that needs to be done together.
Your role is leadership at the forefront, you are the custodian of your own destiny and the destiny of this country. He further said that Pakistan People’s Party has always rejected the politics of hatred and has always preferred the politics of reconciliation and welfare of the people.
He said that I do not want our politics to revolve around fighting each other and parties or institutions fighting against each other.Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the country’s politics should be to fight poverty, inflation, unemployment and despair, the nation needs to compete with the world. He further said that today’s world is the world of artificial intelligence and digital technology.
We need to build a modern, inclusive and democratic Pakistan, and this is a responsibility that rests on all of us. Addressing the youth, he said that you are hope, you are not only the future but also the present. He added that there are also some people who want to mislead you, who want to sell you the powder of anger, hopelessness and violence. You reject such people, because they want to weaken you and this country.
PPP chairman said that civilization should prevail over brutality, wisdom and knowledge should prevail over ignorance, brotherhood should prevail over division. He said that Pakistan People’s Party never lost hope and faith. We have faith in Allah Almighty, we believe in Pakistan, democracy and the power of youth in Pakistan.
