Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Monday said that the government is responsible for the protection of fundamental rights of the citizens.

“The provision of clean drinking water is a government manifest which is being fulfilled under the leadership of the Punjab Governor.”

This was stated by Special Assistant to CM Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan while talking to the media on the occasion of a ceremony under the aegis of Aab-e-Pak Authority at Governor House here on Monday.

Talking to the media, Dr Firdous said the vision and philosophy of PM Imran Khan will be fulfilled and the government will provide clean drinking water to the citizens.

During two and a half years, the Punjab government has expedited work on projects and schemes aimed at providing relief to the masses, she said. Clean drinking water is the right of the citizens as it helps in building a healthy nation.

Responding to a question about differences in the PTI, the Special Assistant said that Governor Punjab is a healer and it is expected that he will heal the wounds of every PTI worker.

The party comprises of people representing different approaches and it is better that the reservations should be removed under the leadership of Governor Punjab.

The SACM said the PTI believes that everyone should have equal access to the legal means of justice and law will be supreme when it will be equal for all and sundry.

Talking about the PDM, Dr Firdous said that a section of PDM tried to continue its narrative till holding of long march but PDM’s narrative has been devastated by the people.

She said that Bilawal Bhutto has in fact disintegrated the whole PDM by tearing apart the show-cause notice.

The PML-N took no action on its earlier claim of recovering looted money from the Asif Zardari but Bilawal Zardari has given a blunt and stern message to PDM that everyone is a political opportunist, she said.

This was the fate of PDM and I was of the considered opinion that Pakistan People’s Party will not resign because it is not going to relinquish the Sindh government.

The Sindh government is a lifeline of corruption for the PPP and it will never resign from the assemblies because Sindh is the main focus of PPP’s politics, concluded the SACM.
