69th birth anniversary of former PM Benazir Bhutto Shaheed being observed today

Larkana: The 69th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto is being celebrated in a befitting manner on Tuesday.

In this regard, an event will be held at the Municipal Stadium in Larkana today, where a cake-cutting ceremony will take place. The event will be attended by Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other party officials.

In a statement on the official Twitter handle of the PPP, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid “homage to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on her 69th birthday.”

“Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto is the name of a thought and path. The thinking and path that guarantees the people to be free from deprivation and to give a developed and civilized society to future generations,” Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said.

“Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto will live forever in history due to her services, struggle and selfless love for the people. The principles of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto will always be a beacon for us.”

“Strict adherence to the philosophy of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto will eradicate poverty, hunger and unemployment from the country. We will ensure socio-economic justice by strengthening parliament and democracy,” the Chairman PPP pledged.

To honour Benazir Bhutto, party officials and supporters have started gathering at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto.

It is pertinent to mention that Benazir Bhutto was not only the first woman Prime Minister of Pakistan but also the first woman Prime Minister in the Muslim World.
