Authorities directed to carry out emergency relief operations in Tank

Chief Minister Pakhtunkhwa, Mahmood Khan has issued directives to the district administration and rescue authorities to carry out emergency relief operations in the flood-affected areas of the district Tank.

He directed that government machinery should be fully mobilized for relief work and rescue operations and all resources should be utilized on priority basis to provide relief to flood-affected population. He said that flood-affected population should be shifted to safe places. He also directed Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan and Deputy Commissioner Tank to personally supervise all rescue and relief operations.

Pak Army, FC and Rescue 1122 were seen engaged in rescue operation at some places. Tank electricity grade station is completely shut down by water filling. Due to which electricity supply has been suspended from the entire district of Tank and tribal South Waziristan for the last two days. According to the details, the rain started from 6 am in the district of DI Khan, Tank and tribal district of South Waziristan and continued till the last reports.
