Ati-polio campa starting campaign in Mardan

District Anti-Polio Committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Mardan Habibullah Arif in connection with 5 days polio campaign starting from 28th February, 2022.

Giving a detailed briefing to the Deputy Commissioner, N-Stop Officer Dr.Farman said that the current 5-day anti-polio campaign would start from February 28.

In which a total of 401553 children up to 5 years of age will be vaccinated against polio.For this, mobile, fixed, transit, roaming, UCMOs and area in-charge teams will be formed as required.

However, police personnel will be deployed for the security of the teams.These mobile teams will go door-to-door during the anti-polio campaign to vaccinate children up to 5 years of age.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, District Health Officer Dr.Kachkol, Additional Assistant Commissioner Abdul Muqsat, Coordinator WHO Dr.Zeeshan Deshani, DSP Security, Coordinator EPI Dr.Imtiaz and other officials of Local Government, Health and Education Department.

Deputy Commissioner Mardan said that polio is a contagious disease and due to the efforts of others including the health department under the supervision of district administration, the disease is on the verge of eradication.
