At Least Eight Terrorists Killed In Ctd Operations In Kp

PESHAWAR – At least eight terrorists were killed in separate operations conducted by the police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the officials said on Monday.

The Central Police Office (CPO) said that joint operations were carried out in Bannu, Khyber and the outskirts of Peshawar’s Zahir Garhi area, resulting in the killing of eight terrorists.

The police officials said the slain militants were involved in attacks on security forces and were planning further acts of terrorism in the province.

They added that a major terrorist plot was foiled during an operation in Nakak Kallay, located near the Shah Kass Bypass Road.

A cache of weapons and mobile phones was recovered from the terrorists during the operation.

The authorities said search and clearance operations were conducted in the surrounding areas to ensure security and prevent any further militant activity.
