All arrangements have been finalised to launch census and training of survey teams and field staff that will start from January, 7 in the district Hafizabad while officers of all departments will be performed their responsibilities alongwith district administration.
This was stated by the Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad, Touqeer Ilyas Cheema, while addressing a meeting held to review arrangements for census.
ADCR Abdul Rauf, AC Rab Nawaz Chadhar, DEO Abdul Majeed, Director Local Government Asad Bhatti, Assistant Statistics Muzammal Naeem and other officers attended the meeting.
DC Directed the officers to depute requisite staff for performing census duty and focus on their responsibilities with commitment to serve the nation.
He warned the officers that any negligence regarding senses duty would not be tolerated, at all and defaulters would be taken to task.
The meeting was informed that training to staff would be imparted at Tehsil level which would be continued till 17 January.
Meanwhile, Taking notice of shortage of wheat flour in the city, Assistant Commissioner Hafizabad Rab Nawaz Chadhar set up two flour points at Fawara Chowk in the heart of the city for ensuring availability of flour in abundance to the people.
AC warned the shopkeepers and sales points owners that punitive action would be taken against those who would found involve in hoarding and overcharging.
He determined that supply of flour would be ensured in the areas according to requirements of the people without any hurdle
The consumers thanked the district administration for providing subsidiary flour on fixed price.
