APNS Sindh Committee concerned over non-payment of dues

The Sindh Committee meeting of All Pakistan Newspapers Society was held under the chairmanship of Javed Mehransi. In the meeting, the members have expressed concern over the non-payment of dues pending by Sindh Information Department for a long time and demanded that the dues be paid as soon as possible.

In the meeting, the members have expressed concern over PID’s neglect of Sindh newspapers in issuing advertisements and paying dues to newspapers and demanded that PID should pay Sindh newspapers.

Publication of advertisements should be ensured so that newspapers can be relieved of their financial problems and journalists and other employees.

The members of the Sindh Committee expressed their concern over the fact that the Sindh Information Department has not issued advertisements to the daily Dayant and Watan Gujarati for a long time. In the meeting, it was demanded that advertisements should be issued to these newspapers, apart from this, the meeting also demanded the early restoration of the suspended advertisements on Awami daily by the PID. Javed Mehr Shamsi, Chairman Sindh Committee, Yunus Mehr (Daily Halchal), Mumtaz Ali Phalphoto (Awami Parchar), Ali Bin Yunus (Daily Bewpar), Khurram Hussain (Daily Dawn), Najamuddin Sheikh (Daily Diyanat).

Shabbir Hussain (Daily Ibrat), Iqbal Tanyu (Daily Jang), Zahida Abbasi (Daily Nosaj), Nasir Dad Baloch (Daily Sindh Sajag), Muhammad Irfan (Daily Ummat) and Shahid Sati (Daily Watan Gujarati) attended the meeting.
