ANF foils narcotics smuggling bids, arrests five


The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled several narcotics smuggling bids and arrested five drug peddlers besides recovery cache of narcotics in countrywide operations on Wednesday. Spokesman of ANF said that during snap checking, the authority recovered 186 kilogram hashish from secret cavities of a truck in Gadap Town Karachi. The drug was being smuggled from Balochistan to Karachi and two drug peddlers hailing from Pishin were arrested.

During a joint operation with Airport Security Force (ASF), the ANF arrested an accused hailing from Hangu and leaving from Madina through private airline flight WY-324 at Karachi International Airport after recovery of 930 gram heroin valuing millions of rupees in international market.

During snap checking near Islamabad Toll Plaza, the police arrested two drug peddlers hailing from Hangu and recovered 201 hashish filled capsules from their possession.—INP
