The Peshawar Torkham high was blocked by the local transport union leaders which caused the suspension of Pak-Afghan trade from 8:00 am on Monday at Takia area in Landikotal subdivision.
Eyewitness and reliable sources said that hundreds of trucks laden with export goods have been trapped in Bara tehsil and on Peshawar-Torkham high way due to its closure.
According to the transport union leaders Haji Rahman Zeb Afridi, Malak Jan, they have blocked the high way as the protest against the Bara tehsil parking where illegal money was collecting from transporters.
When this scribe contacted the district police officer Dr.Muhammad Iqbal and asked about the illegal parking in Bara tehsil, the official replied that soon the custom department will remove this parking.
According to the transport union leaders who blocked the high way , some of their leaders and representatives were holding talks with the DPO Khyber and the deputy commissioner of Khyber.
