RAWALPINDI – Pakistan and Bahrain reaffirmed commitment to deepen defence and security cooperation as Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani held high-level talks with Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.
The meeting placed bilateral defence ties and the evolving regional security situation at the centre of discussions, with the two sides exchanging views on matters of mutual interest and security cooperation.

Field Marshal Asim Munir shared his views on longstanding ties between Pakistan and Bahrain, calling them rooted in shared values and mutual respect. He reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to further expand bilateral cooperation, particularly in the defence and security domains, underscoring the importance of continued collaboration between the two countries.
Bahraini foreign minister praised professionalism and operational preparedness of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged Pakistan’s contribution to regional peace and stability.
Dr. Al Zayani also expressed Bahrain’s resolve to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Pakistan, signalling continued momentum in defence and security relations between the two countries.
The high-level engagement comes as both sides continue to place emphasis on closer coordination and stronger bilateral ties amid a complex regional security environment.
