Adviser to the Chief Minister of Punjab Ali Dar said that the blessed personality of Hazrat Ali Hajveri (RA), popularly known as Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA), stands as an eternal symbol of the propagation of Islam, peace, tolerance, compassion, and service to humanity throughout the Subcontinent, while his timeless teachings of love, brotherhood, and spiritual enlightenment continue to illuminate the path of individuals and societies alike. He expressed these views while addressing, as the Chief Guest, a spiritually enriching Mehfil-e-Samaa organized at Rashid Market near Sardar Chappal Chowk as part of the three-day celebrations of the 983rd Annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA). The ceremony was attended by Secretary Auqaf and Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab Dr. Ehsan Bhutta, Director General Religious Affairs Auqaf Punjab Hafiz Anees-ur-Rehman, Administrator Data Darbar Muhammad Ali Khan, senior officials of the Auqaf Department and Data Darbar administration, while renowned Qawwals presented soulful performances that reflected the rich spiritual heritage of Sufism. Paying glowing tribute to the unparalleled scholarly and spiritual legacy of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA), Ali Dar said that the Urs celebrations are being observed with profound reverence, devotion, and dignity, attracting hundreds of thousands of devotees from across Pakistan and abroad who continue to receive immense spiritual blessings. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ehsan Bhutta paid rich tribute to the outstanding religious, scholarly, and Sufi contributions of Hazrat Ali Hajveri (RA), describing his immortal masterpiece Kashf-ul-Mahjub as an everlasting fountain of spiritual wisdom, guidance, and enlightenment for humanity. He emphasized that the Auqaf Department remains fully committed to ensuring the best possible facilities, security, and services for pilgrims while simultaneously promoting the universal message of Islam, peace, tolerance, harmony, and the enduring spiritual legacy of the great Sufi saints among the public. Dr. Bhutta further announced that the third and concluding day of the Urs, on Tuesday, will feature a comprehensive programme of religious, scholarly, and spiritual activities, including Qur’an Khawani after Fajr, a scholarly and spiritual session at 9:00 a.m., Mehfil-e-Husn-e-Qira’at after Zuhr, an academic gathering at Jamia Hajveria after Maghrib, a special session titled “Kashf-ul-Mahjub: Introduction and Exposition” after Isha, and a grand Mehfil-e-Naat at 10:30 p.m. He added that these programmes are aimed at familiarizing people with the true teachings of Islam, strengthening Islamic values, and highlighting the timeless message of the revered Sufi saints. The three-day Urs celebrations will conclude late at night with a grand collective prayer in which hundreds of thousands of devotees will participate, seeking divine blessings while offering special prayers for the peace.
