QUETTA – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif delivered a strong message on national security and military preparedness during his visit to the Command and Staff College Quetta, where the premier hailed Pakistan’s armed forces for what he called a “historic victory” and vowed a forceful response to any future aggression.

Addressing faculty members and officers under training at the prestigious military institution, the premier paid glowing tribute to the professionalism, sacrifices, and operational capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces. He also saluted country’s martyrs, saying their sacrifices continued to strengthen the nation’s resolve in the face of growing regional challenges.
In a charged address, PM Shehbaz Sharif congratulated armed forces on their success in what he described as “Battle for Truth,” calling it a defining moment that demonstrated Pakistan’s unity, resilience, and military strength. He particularly praised the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, crediting him for steering the armed forces with determination during a critical period.
The premier said Pakistan’s “responsible and measured” response to what he termed India’s unprovoked aggression had won international recognition and appreciation. He asserted that despite provocations, Pakistan had acted with restraint while remaining fully prepared to defend its sovereignty.
“Pakistan is fully determined to give a crushing response to every act of aggression,” PM declared, adding that the country’s defence remained “strong, united, and vigilant.”
Sharif further revealed that Operation “Ghazab-ul-Haq” was continuing with full force and unwavering commitment, signalling that security operations against hostile elements and threats to national stability remained a top priority.
The visit also carried strong political and military symbolism, as senior members of the federal cabinet, including the ministers for defence, interior, and information, accompanied the prime minister alongside the chief minister of Balochistan.

Earlier in the day, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Quetta Garrison, where he reaffirmed Pakistan Army’s resolve to eliminate terrorism and stressed the need to adapt to the evolving challenges of modern warfare. During the visit, the army chief addressed officers and faculty members at the Command and Staff College Quetta, praising the institution for maintaining high professional and academic standards. He said the college had consistently produced officers known for their professional competence and operational excellence.
Speaking on the changing nature of warfare, Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted the importance of emerging technologies, multi-domain operations, and greater coordination among the armed forces. He urged officers to continue enhancing their own capabilities and training their troops to effectively respond to future security challenges.
