RAWALPINDI – The security forces on Tuesday killed 13 Khawarij terrorists in an intelligence based operation in the South Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that on December 24 and 25, the security forces conducted an operation in the Sararogha area of South Waziristan based on secret information regarding the presence of the militants.
According to the Pakistan Army spokesperson, during the operation, the security forces effectively targeted the militants’ hideout, and killed 13 Khawarij.
The ISPR further revealed that the militants were involved in terrorist activities against the security forces and the killing of the innocent civilians.
A clearance operation is underway in the area to eliminate any remaining militants.
The statement concluded that Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eradicate the scourge of terrorism from the country.
