A high-level Chinese business delegation visited the Sindh Economic Zones Management Company (SEZMC) to explore investment opportunities across Sindh’s industrial, infrastructure, and medical sectors.
Sindh Investment Secretary Raja Khurram Shahzad Umar chaired the meeting, assuring the delegation of full government support and a business-friendly environment. Highlighting the province’s initiatives, he noted the rapid development of the Dhabeji Economic Zone under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the operational readiness of the Khairpur Economic Zone, now open for investments.
The Chinese delegation expressed keen interest in manufacturing three-wheeler electric vehicles in Sindh’s EV sector. In the medical field, they proposed investments in the Sindh Medical City project, focusing on disease research and healthcare technology. Plans to establish a plant for electronic products, including healthcare equipment, were also discussed.
The delegation praised Sindh’s investment-friendly policies and emphasized Pakistan’s strategic significance as a regional business hub. They expressed readiness to make large-scale investments, provided the right incentives and facilitation are ensured.
