LAHORE PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif has called on the government to review the methods adopted to distribute aid after a woman died in Multan a day earlier collecting funds under the Ehsaas Programme. “The manner in which aid is being distributed among the poor is highly dangerous,” said Shahbaz, adding that news of the woman’s death is “highly regrettable”. “The government must immediately review its distribution methods for funds and essential food items and adopt better policies,” he stressed. The PML-N president was chairing a meeting via video link between party members to review relief efforts being made by the party. The Azad Jammu and Kashmir premier and chief minister of Gilgit-Baltistan also attended the session.
