KARACHI – Pakistani seasoned actor Shagufta Ejaz’s husband Yahya Siddiqui lost battle to cancer after prolonged battle.

The Dugdugi star confirmed the death news in a tragic social media post, sharing a heartfelt message with followers. The Insta post with picture of deceased stated “My husband Yahya Siddiqui has passed away. Kindly recite Surah Fatiha for his maghfirat.

Siddiqui’s death comes two days after the couple celebrated their wedding anniversary at the hospital where he was receiving treatment. The footage showed their daughter bringing a cake, with family and friends gathered to mark the occasion.

Shagufta Ejaz and Yahya Siddiqui, both in their second marriages, had tied the knot a few years ago and have two daughters together.

The actor discussed her second marriage to Yahya Siddiqui after being a single mother to two daughters. In a show appearance, she revealed that Siddiqui waited two years after proposing before she accepted, as she was concerned about how he would treat her daughters from her first marriage.

Shagufta’s condition was that he love her daughters as his own, and after observing his interactions with them, she felt confident in their safety. Shagufta has two older daughters, Anya and Haya, from her first marriage, and with Siddiqui, she has two more daughters, Nabiha and Emaan. Siddiqui also has two sons from a previous marriage.
