LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) continued operations against violation of building bylaws and illegal commercial use in Lahore.
On Wednesday, the LDA teams sealed American Lyceum, Unique School and 18 more premises in Gulshan-e-Ravi for not paying commercialization fees. The sealed premises include schools, private clinic, and private bank and grocery shops.
The LDA teams also sealed five premises in Shadman and Jail Road for placing building materials on roadsides. The LDA teams also demolished four buildings in Timber Market and another two in Gujjarpura for violation of bylaws.
Director Town Planning Zone-I Ayesha Mutahir supervised the operation which was carried out with the help of enforcement teams, heavy machinery and Police.
As per the LDA officials, several notices were served to these buildings’ owners before carrying out the operation.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against violation of building and parking bylaws, encroachments and illegal commercial use in Lahore.
