KARACHI – Pakistan Navy has taken command of multinational task force Combined Task Force 150 (CTF-150) which is responsible for ensuring maritime security in Middle East, Arabian Sea, and other key regions.
A statement issued by ISPR said the Pakistan Navy took charge in a change-of-command ceremony at Naval Support Activity Bahrain where Royal Canadian Navy Capt Colin Matthews relinquished command of Combined Task Force (CTF) 150 to Pakistan Navy Commodore Asim Sohail Malik as the commander of Combined Maritime Forces.
Commodore Asim Sohail Malik said CTF-150’s area of responsibility includes some of the world’s most challenging and significant international waters. The naval officer assured that his team would work to enhance the multinational task force’s efforts to ensure strong security in this critical maritime region.
Pakistan’s 13th command of CTF-150 shows trust and respect the coalition partners have in Pakistan Navy.
At the change of command ceremony, Commander Malik reaffirmed Pakistan Navy’s dedication to collaborating with coalition navies to maintain peace and stability within the task force’s jurisdiction.
