LAHORE – National players Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan are unlikely to receive NOCs for the Global T20 Canada.

The sources said that despite the Canadian league not clashing with any series, the three players are not expected to receive NOCs.

The sources said that due to the PCB’s policy for all-format players, these players would not be given NOCs.

The PCB is against granting NOCs to all-format players due to the busy international schedule.

The sources also mentioned that recently Naseem Shah did not receive an NOC for The Hundred for being an all-format player.

The sources further stated that the Global T20 Canada was not approved by the ICC so far.

The ICC withheld the league’s approval due to several issues, and a formal decision on players’ NOCs would be made once the league is approved.

It may be mentioned here that Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Nawaz, Asif Ali, and Iftikhar Ahmed also have contracts with various teams in the Global T20 Canada.
