The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) recovered more than Rs 5.52 million from 110 chronic defaulters in all the five districts- Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Kasur and Okara- on the 221st day of its recovery campaign.
A LESCO spokesman told the media here on Wednesday that on the 221st day, SE (Superintending Engineer) Nisar Sarwar recovered outstanding dues of Rs 0.73 million from 18 defaulters in Northern Circle; SE Umar Bilal recovered Rs 1.01 million from 26 defaulters in Eastern Circle; SE (Central Circle) recovered Rs 1.35 million from 22 defaulters; SE (South Circle) collected Rs 0.34 million from 04 defaulters; SE (Nankana Circle) recovered Rs 0.39 million from 12 defaulters; SE Najamul Hassan recovered Rs 0.58 million from 09 defaulters in Sheikhupura Circle; SE Jamshed Zaman collected Rs 0.46 million from 16 defaulters in Okara Circle and SE Ahmed Shahzad Chughtai recovered Rs 0.66 million from 03 defaulters in Kasur Circle. During the 221 days, the spokesman added that the LESCO under the supervision of Director (Customer Services) Sarwar Mughal has recovered a total of Rs 3.0 billion outstanding dues from 102,740 dead defaulters. He elaborated that up till now the company has collected Rs 572.46 million from 14,912 defaulters in Northern Circle; Rs 916.67 million from 13,530 defaulters in Eastern Circle; Rs 538.41 million from 11,608 defaulters in Central Circle; Rs 196.45 million from 6,041 defaulters in South Circle; Rs 370.39 million from 8,899 defaulters in Nankana Circle; Rs 541.76 million from 11,992 defaulters in Sheikhupura Circle; Rs 312.35 million from 16,334 defaulters in Okara Circle and Rs 519.42 million from 19,424 defaulters in Kasur Circle.
The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) detected a total of 412 connections from where consumers were pilfering electricity in its circles of five districts: Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Kasur.
