LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stunned everyone with her new look as she attended the passing out parade, donning a police uniform.
As Maryam Nawaz’s new look was all over the internet, a lawyer approached the sessions court to file petition seeking registration of a case against Punjab sitting Chief Minister for wearing uniform of law enforcement.
Advocate Waqar Ali Shah from the Lahore High Court filed a petition alleging that CM Maryam Nawaz had unlawfully worn a police uniform, stating that she lacks authority as she is neither a government official nor a member of the provincial police force.
He filed the petition under sections 22-A and B of the Criminal Procedure Code (CR.P.C) to initiate criminal case against PML-N leader.
