Portugal’s acclaimed writer and poet José Luis Peixoto is arriving in Pakistan to participate in the Lahore Literature Festival (LLF).
His visit is taking place on the initiative of the Embassy of Portugal and with the support of the Portuguese Institute Camões. The Portuguese writer during his Lahore visit will attend various sessions of the LLF starting from Friday, Feb 23 till Sunday, Feb 25, 2024. In Islamabad, the author will be participating in various university events with students and professors, and interacting with Pakistanis’ writers, journalists and culture related figures. José Luis Peixoto (born in 1974 in Alentejo, south of Portugal) is one of Portugal’s most renowned contemporary authors, winner of the José Saramago Literary Award, amongst others and his prose and poetry books have been translated into more than 30 languages.
