As per directions by Inspector General Police Shoaib Dastgir, speedy actions are continued against criminals activities especially illegal weapons, drugs dealers and kite sellers across the province. Sargodha police under the supervision of Sargodha DPO Ammara Athar, 9 kalashinkoves, 23 rifles, 444 bore, 8 rifles, 223 bore, 9 rifles 22 bore, 54 guns 12 bore, 3 revolvers 32 bore, 182 pistols 30 bore and 2029 bullets and cartridges have been seized and cases have been lodged against the accused during the last one month.
Likewise, 144 proclaimed offenders have been arrested in a crackdown among them 9 accused are involved in murder, 2 are involved in dacoity and 14 proclaimed offenders are involved in road robbery. Similarly, the district police arrested 208 drug dealers and seized 21 kg heroin, 103 kg chars, 3090 bottles of wine and one running wine making kiln from the accused whereas 75 search operations have been conducted under supervision of all SDPOs in different areas of the district in which intelligence branches of Police also took part.
