Cakes & Bakes, Faisal Movers among 12 sealed in Lahore

LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Friday demolished five buildings and sealed more than one dozen premises for violation of bylaws and illegal commercial use in Lahore.

LDA teams demolished five under construction shops in Sultan Town for violation of building bylaws.

LDA teams sealed more than one dozen buildings in Izhmir Town and Canal Bank Road for illegal commercial activities.

The sealed premises include offices of Faisal Movers and Automotive Association, Cakes & Bakes, software house, private banks including Meezan Bank and other businesses.

Chief Town Planner-II Athar Ali carried out the operation with the help of enforcement teams, Police and heavy machinery.

As per the LDA officials, several notices were served to the owners of these buildings before carrying out the operation.

LDA Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed continuing indiscriminate operations against encroachment, violation of building bylaws and illegal commercial use.
