Following the directions of Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Haji Gulbar Khan, the Food Department was committed to ensure uninterrupted supply of wheat and flour. According to Gilgit Baltistan Food Department, special measures were being taken to ensure enough supply of wheat and flour in all 10 districts of GB.
Meanwhile, Secretary Food Department Usman Ahmed has directed all concerned officials to take strict measures against illegal hoarding of wheat and flour monitoring in all districts to ensure supply of subsidized wheat and flour to the people. He said teams are being formed which will closely monitor the departmental elements and dealers involved in black marketing.
Secretary Food Department also maintained that no negligence will be tolerated in relation to the distribution of wheat and flour and Zero tolerance policy is being adopted in this regard.—Our Correspondent
