Punjab University Sheikh Zayed Islamic Center’s Associate Professor Dr Mubasher Hussain has attained the Imam Bukhari International Scholarship.
Dr Mubasher has a bachelor’s, master’s and doctor’s degree in Islamic Studies and Islamic Law from Punjab University. The scientist has published more than 100 articles and about 40 books and also winner of a number of scientific awards. He worked as the head of the Hadith and Sirat Department of the University.
The scientist’s scientific work is related to the methodology of the science of hadith and the interpretation of hadith, and the result of his recent research in this regard is reflected in the book “Legal Traditions and Iraqi Lawyers”, published by the International Islamic University of Islamabad.
Dr Mubasher at the Center explores the influence of Imam Bukhari as a Mujtahid on the interpretation of Islamic law in South Asia. The scholarship holder was welcomed by the Director of the Center, Shov?sil Ziy?dov. During the dialogue, the opportunities created by the international program for researchers were recognized and the importance of ensuring the success of scientific research was emphasized.
