Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) DG Khan claimed on Thursday to have arrested SDO Nisar Ahmed, SDO Excavator Division Irrigation Department Faisalabad on getting the charges of corruption proved during the construction of Chandarban Flood Embankment Muzaffargarh.
According to details, Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab came to know through a source report that a massive scale corruption has taken place in the construction of Chandarban Flood Embankment on which DG Anti-Corruption ordered Regional Director Anti-Corruption DG Khan to immediately investigate the above said matter.
Anti-Corruption Establishment DG Khan constituted a joint investigation team which took all the record relating to the construction of Muzaffargarh Embankment into their custody forthwith.
It was proved during investigation process being undertaken by the joint investigation team that the officers of Irrigation Department Faisalabad indulged into massive corruption amounting to rupees four crore seventy five lac.
Anti-Corruption DG Khan after making inquiry in mega corruption scandal registered FIR against the officers Tariq Niaz XEN, Nisar Ahmed SDO and Tariq Mahmood SBE (R) and others. Now, ACE DG Khan has arrested one of them Nisar Ahmed SDO from Multan. They have also started making efforts for arresting the other accused of above mega corruption case.
