In Lower South Waziristan of valley Shakai due to torrential rain and strong wind, the roofs of two markets were blown off, including Khoney Khel Market and Khojal Khel Market, three people have been injured due to the roofs falling, while two motorcycles standing next to the shops have also been completely destroyed and many shops have been damaged due to heavy rain and wind.
Residents of valley Shakai have demanded from the federal Government, NDMA and PDMA, to resolve the damages caused by the roofs of the markets in valley Shakai. It should be clear that earlier there were severe hailstorms in various tehsils of Lower South Waziristan district, which destroyed fruit orchards and standing crops of vegetables while the district administration has compiled an assessment report and sent it to the provincial Government and PDMA to compensate the farmers for the damages caused by hailstorm.
It is worth mentioning here that a few years ago there were several heavy hailstorms in different areas and due to which the orchards and standing crops of vegetables were badly affected but till now no affected farmer has received a single pie.
