Provincial Health Minister Punjab Dr. Jamal Nasir made surprised visits to Holy Family, Benazir Bhutto Hospital, DHQ and Rawalpindi Institute of Urology, and reviewed the treatment facilities and performance of doctors and paramedical staff. Provincial Minister Dr. Jamal Nasir also took notice of the lack of X-ray films on this occasion and called an emergency meeting of the Health Department on Monday to review the situation and solve the problem.
On this occasion, Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Ali Jan, Chairman PHFMC Dr. Asim, Additional Secretary Development Rashid Irshad and PMUC CEO Mian Ashfaq and other relevant officers were also with him.
Dr. Jamal Nasir said on this occasion that negligence in providing the treatment facilities should not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against those who are negligent in duty. He said that the protection of doctors and paramedical staff will be made possible in every possible way and patients and their families cannot be allowed to take the law into their own hands and make doctors and paramedical staff to face violence.
