The PML-N has taken action against five party leaders who have been causing dissent within the party. Apart from Mehtab Ahmad Khan Abbasi , former Governor KP Zafar Iqbal Jhagra, Arbab Khizar Hayat, Farid Mufakar Khan, and Isal Khan have been accused of various wrongdoings such as revolting against party decisions, conspiring to divide the party in the province, making statements against party leadership in the media, and giving insulting speeches. The Sources said PML-N has issued a show-cause notice to these leaders, and they have been removed from their party positions. The notice was issued by the general secretary of PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murtaza Javed Abbasi.

The leaders have been given 15 days to respond to the notice, and if they fail to do so, their basic party membership would be terminated. The notice highlights that these leaders were given party portfolios, but they have violated party discipline and revolted against party decisions.
