Masood expresses grief over demise of Ex-Consul Dr Inayat

Ambassador Masood Khan has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of former Honorary Consul of Pakistan in Philadelphia Dr. Inayat Hussain Kathio.

Dr. Kathio was a renowned Pittston veterinarian and a dedicated community leader who continued serving the interests of Pak-American community as Honorary Consul of Pakistan in the United States. He died at the age of 69 due to cardiac issues.

“We mourn the passing away of a great community leader – Dr Inayat Kathio. A former Honorary Consul of Pakistan, mentor to hundreds, champion of Pakistani American causes, a devoted family man – we will miss him. Deepest condolences to his family and friends,” tweeted Ambassador Khan.

Born on September 8, 1953 in Naseerabad Sindh, Dr. Kathio had completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences of Sindh Agriculture University in 1978.—PR
