Police for tight security during Sunday prayers, Raiwand congregation

Special security arrangement were made as the provincial capital Lahore remained the center of religious, political and cultural activities on Sunday and Lahore police remained highly tight.

During the Sunday prayers in churches, last day of Raiwind congregation, Spring Festival (Jashan e Baharan) and activities of a political party, foolproof security was provided to the citizens as well as the participants of the programmes.

Following the directions of Lahore Police Chief Additional IG Fayyaz Ahmed Dev, the DIG Operations Dr. Abid Khan, SSP Operations Capt(R) Mustansar Feroze including SSP and other senior police officers remained all the time present in the field.

Lahore Police remained on highly alert while checking on entry and exit points of the city was increased.

The Dolphin Squad, Police Response Unit and Elite teams ensured constant patrolling around all the important places including churches, Rawind Markaz, Nasir Bagh, Jailani Park and other areas of the provincial metropolis.

Continuous monitoring of all the programs was ensured with the help of CCTV cameras as well.
