Students of Nur Community Outreach Program visited under the leadership of Shazia Iqbal (Director, Nur Community Outreach Program) Nur International University (NIU) on 14th Feb, 2022 to have a positive interaction with the university students at the campus.
The activity was titled as ‘Integrated Student Leadership Program; SLP & Outreach’. Nur Community Outreach Program was initiated by the Chairperson Mrs. Shahima Rehman and the journey is spread over a period of 37 years of providing excellent community servicesto the people of Pakistan. The aim is to provide better services including education, health care, food program, skill development and student leadership program to the underprivileged people of Pakistan.
The vision governing NUR-FMS is poverty eradication through transforming lives and building future, based on the teachings of Quran, Sunnah and the Philosophy and Ideology of Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Quaid e Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah.
Students of Outreach program-Nain Sukh project hold an interactive session/activity with NIU faculty, students and team members. Whereas, a critical thinking activity titled as ‘Who Am I’ was conducted with NIU students in order to polish their mental skills and observing the concepts of the inner-self. Pro Vice Chancellor, NIU Prof. Dr. Najma Najam said that it’s a very positive activity and at NIU we always encourage positive and impact oriented healthy activities. Our Nur International University students learn about the community program and how student leadership program is working and how we can become a part of it. We are preparing our students through integrated student leadership program to know about the community also to serve the community in most useful way. We welcome and appreciate Nur Community Outreach program students as they are very talented and they have great skills. Compassion is essential and we all must try to strengthen our young generation as they will lead the world. Shazia Iqbal (Program Director, Nur Outreach Program) expressed her views by saying that we are offering health care, education, vocational training and loans to the people.
