Punjab cabinet Monday approved Pakistan Army and Rangers deployment for the security of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Phase-II matches that will be played in metropolis Lahore.
The troops’ deployment has been approved to maintain law and order and to avoid any untoward incident amid the PSL7 matches.
Phase-II of the PSL will be kicked off on Feb 10 where Multan Sultan and Peshawar Zalmi will play the fixture at 7:30pm at International Qaddafi Cricket Stadium.
Moreover, the city traffic police have issued a traffic advisory plan for the next phase of PSL matches to begin in Lahore from Feb 10 during which 19 matches will be played.
A total of 11 DSPs and 90 inspectors and over 700 wardens will be stationed along cricket team routes and alternate routes.
Lahore traffic police also conducted a rehearsal for the security of the PSL matches.
