Mazdoor Card to financially stabilize labourers of Punjab: Ansar

Punjab Labour Minister, Ansar Majeed Khan on Tuesday said that labourers of province will be financially stable through Mazdoor Card.

He stated this while chairing a meeting along with Secretary Labour Dr. Suhail Shahzad in Lahore. On this occasion, Commissioner PESSI Syed Bilal Haider briefed the meeting about launching of Mazdoor Card.

Speaking on this occasion, Ansar Majeed Khan said that a ceremony will be held soon for distribution of Mazdoor Card. He said that Mazdoor Card will be linked with Sehat Sahulat Card, Ehsaas Programme and Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme.

He said Mazdoor Card will also be linked with grants of Punjab Social Protection Authority, government loan schemes. He said that Mazdoor Card will be utilized at more than 250 outlets and 23 social security hospitals.

The provincial minister said that Mazdoor Card will be utilized as Debit Card and mobile wallet. He said that fifty percent discount will be availed through Mazdoor Card on payment of fees in prescribed educational institutions, medical tests from and procurement of grocery.

Ansar Majeed Khan also directed concerned officials for restoration of helpline for resolution of labourers complaints.
