Govt spends Rs 8b on different development projects in Attock: Yawar

More than Rs 8 billion are being spent on different development projects in Attock which include establishment of 200 bedded Mother and Child Hospital, up-gradation of DHQ Hospital, up-gradation of nursing school to college level and many other projects.

Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Bait ul Maal Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari said this while addressing a gathering at Dhok Fateh after performing the ground breaking ceremony of mini sports ground which will be completed at the cost of Rs 30 million over an area of 70 Kanal.

On the occasion Vice President Cantonment Board Attock Shakil Khan Bangash, Member Cantonment Board Syed Mehdi Shah, Tehsil President PTI Attock Abid Chaudhry, PTI coordinators Waheed Murad, Qazi Babar Ejaz, Muhammad Ismail Malik and other notables were also present.

Provincial Minister said that when this sports ground will be completed will certainly help promote sports activities in the area and said that the mini sports ground will have a pavilion, football ground and other facilities.

Syed Yawar Bukhari while talking about under completion projects said that the state of the art mother and child hospital will be completed in two years. He said that a trauma center in DHQ Hospital and Gondal will be available to handle any type of medical emergencies. Bukhari said, a house for the orphans will be built at the cost of Rs 400 million in Attock having all facilities and said that Attock to Haji Shah and Jhala Khan Chowk to Bahtar road will be carpeted at the cost of millions of rupees which will benefit thousand of families of the area.
