Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has stated that New Pakistan National Health Card a historic initia-tive of the PTI-led government for public welfare as there is no precedent of such an unprecedented program in the history of Pakistan.
In a statement issued on Friday, the CM explained that every family in Punjab will have access to free quality medical treatment through this scheme.
Universal Health Insurance Program is successfully benefiting the masses in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sahiwal and DG Khan divisions as more than one lakh people have benefited from free medi-cal treatment facilities through 287 se-lected hospitals in these divisions, he noted.
The government has paid Rs 2.17 billion for the treatment.
By the end of March, all the families in Punjab will be eligible for free treatment up to one million rupees per annum under this program, he added. In Ba-hawalpur, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan and Sargodha divisions, the issue of the New Pakistan National Health Card will be completed within two months.
An ideal plan to meet health needs, the New Pakistan National Health Card is the right of the people which the PTI is giving back to them, he said and concluded that the government is fulfilling its promise of providing health facili-ties to every citizen.
In an-other statement Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has strongly condemned the terrorists’ at-tack on security forces’ check post in the Kech area of Balochistan. CM said, “We pay homage to the sacrifices of the martyred soldiers for the beloved homeland and all our sympathies are with the families of the brave martyrs.
