National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lahore’s Awareness and Prevention (A&P) Wing held painting and posters competition on Saturday among School, College and University’s students from 21 districts. The topic of the competition was ‘Awareness and elimination of Corruption’. Senior Director Investigation NAB, chaired the event as Chief Guest alongwith other officers of NAB Lahore, whereas, teachers from National College of Arts (NCA), Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Designing (PIFD), Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Gujrat and Government Girls Comprehensive Model School, Manawala participated in the Competition as Judges.
The impacts of social ill-doings landing over the society and the Nation were pertinently highlighted by the students in the form of their Paintings, whereas, the students also colorfully highlighted the existing flaws in our society and system. Earlier to this, NAB Lahore has been organizing declamation Contests among students emphasizing ill-effects of corruption onto social norms of general public and its remedy.
Today, through creative Paintings the students robustly highlighted the same aspect. Pakistan has ratified United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) and since then NAB has been celebrating 9th December as
“International anti-corruption Day” for which NAB’s A&P Wing conducts different kinds of activities viz speeches, essay writing competition, drama competitions, poster and wall painting competition etc and the winning students are awarded with appreciation Certificates and cash prizes by NAB.
While addressing at the occasion, chief guest stated that NAB’s such anti-corruption activities are actually designed to target youth, so, our new generation may start developing hatred against corruption.
